The missionGiving young women a chance at a brighter tomorrow.

Mind the Gap for Girls aims to provide critical life skills to all women to assist in preparing them to be successful in their everyday lives after high school. While we aim to serve all young women, we have a specific focus on the BIPOC community.

OUR VISION & OUR 'WHY'We put our young women first.

OUR VISION

Mind the Gap for Girls, Inc. aims to create a safe space for girls who will become women. The space that we look to create is built on an authentic love and respect that is needed at such a critical point in life.

OUR 'WHY'

Young women of color comprise a specific market that is missing support at one of the most critical times of their lives. The purpose of this program is to promote and build life skills that are often lacking in conventional education pathways (i.e. finances, work ethic, accountability, relationship building, networking, and being prepared).

Program Goals

1

Assist young women understand what the world will hold for them once they graduate high school by providing them with tools and resources to be successful (i.e. planning, budgeting, branding themselves).

2

Provide program participants with information about college, trade, military, and business opportunities to help them determine the best path for them and give them access to information on how to build their best selves as they travel the road ahead.

3

Provide unique and relevant mentorships for participating girls that will allow them access to successful women who can show them how to shine in their fields of interest.

4

Provide critical life skills to set young women up for success. (i.e. goal setting, establishing accounts, establishing credit, applying for jobs, working, and building/maintaining relationships of all kind.
